An air mass from North Africa is carrying suspended dust to Portugal. This situation is expected to last until Saturday, mainly affecting the central and southern regions of the country. The Directorate-General for Health has issued an alert recommending that the population avoid prolonged exposure to outdoor air. The DGS suggests that the most vulnerable groups, such as elderly people and people with respiratory problems, stay at home whenever possible.
