Eleven municipalities are at maximum fire danger, according to the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and the Atmosphere (IPMA). Bragança, Guarda, Castelo Branco and Coimbra are the districts that concentrate the municipalities in the most critical situation.
The day is marked by high temperatures in several regions of the country. Bragança may reach 37 degrees, which contributes to the extreme fire risk.
IPMA remains vigilant about the meteorological conditions, warning of high to extreme fire danger in several points of the Portuguese territory.
