The Casa da Ínsua, located in Penalva do Castelo, organized a harvest event on August 29th. The program invites participants to pick, tread and taste the grapes of the Dão region, in an experience that combines tradition and gastronomy.
The initiative promotes ancient harvest methods, including treading the grapes with feet, a traditional practice that contrasts with modern mechanized processes. Participants can directly experience the techniques used for generations in wine production.
The event brings together history and tradition, taking advantage of the setting of Casa da Ínsua as a space with wine heritage. The Dão region is recognized for the quality of its wines, and this activity also serves as a way to preserve and promote the ancestral practices of local viticulture.
