Angra do Heroísmo municipality maintains high water quality standards for human consumption in 2025

The results of the drinking water quality control in 2025 confirm the maintenance of high performance standards by the Municipality of Angra do Heroísmo. According to the Annual Report of the Regulatory Authority for Water and Wastewater Services of the Azores (ERSARA), the municipality achieved a compliance level with parametric values of 99.85%, having recorded the same result in the "Safe Water" indicator, a value exceeding the regional target of 99% established for the sector.

The municipal supply system currently serves 33,771 inhabitants

At the start of the new school year, Viseu City Hall announces refurbishment of three schools

The interventions will cover the Rolando de Oliveira Basic School in Abraveses (807 thousand euros), the Rio de Loba Kindergarten (409 thousand euros), and the Aquilino Ribeiro Basic School and Kindergarten in Viseu (673 thousand euros). The mayor, João Azevedo, highlighted that these works join other interventions already completed or underway, with a total investment of approximately 15 million euros in rehabilitation, expansion, and construction of school facilities. Estarreja: Social Security with New Facilities for Local Service
