Timor-Leste and Indonesia met again in Dili to negotiate the delimitation of maritime borders between the two countries. The meetings took place between Tuesday and Thursday, in a new round of talks on the border issue.
The matter under discussion is the delimitation of six maritime segments, considered a "national priority" for Timor-Leste. The negotiations aim to precisely define the limits of the territorial waters of both countries.
Both governments expressed the intention to achieve a "just solution" for the maritime border issue. This has been one of Timor-Leste's diplomatic priorities since its independence.
