The Community of Madrid will not attend the meeting of the Council of Fiscal and Financial Policy scheduled for this Friday, September 4. The meeting was intended for the debate of the proposal to reform the regional financing system sent by the Ministry of Finance to the autonomous communities in July.
Sources from the Government of Isabel Díaz Ayuso confirmed this afternoon their refusal to participate in the meeting between the central Executive and the autonomous communities, in which the new financing model is intended to be approved.
The regional executive maintains that the system was "agreed bilaterally and secretly from the remaining autonomous communities" between the central Government and the Generalitat of Catalonia, considering that the model did not take into account the interests of all Spanish regions.
