Francisco Figueira, Vice-President of the Assembly of the Republic and PSD deputy for the Évora district, considered that the motion of censure presented against the Government is a "political maneuver" by the opposition. His statements were made to Diana FM on the sidelines of the inauguration of the Eastern Variant of Évora.
Figueira defended that the opposition is using the motion of censure to gain media and political space, instead of focusing on the country's interests.
The deputy recalled that Portugal had three recent legislative elections, emphasizing the need for political stability so that the Executive can present concrete results at the governmental level.
