The president of the Assembly of the Republic, Aguiar-Branco, announced that he will refuse to admit the request to establish an inquiry commission into the actions of Minister Luís Neves at the Judicial Police, if the Chega party does not amend the grounds and subject of the request.
The position was expressed during a meeting with a delegation from Chega, which submitted the request for the creation of the inquiry commission.
Luís Neves is the minister at the center of the issue, being the target of the parliamentary investigation desired by the Chega party.
The Chega party will now have to review the request so that it is considered admissible by the president of the Assembly of the Republic.
