A woman disappeared from a shelter home in Paredes de Coura. The search was initiated on Wednesday, with the aid of a drone to assist in the search operations. This Thursday, the search resumed around 07:00, this time with the use of search dogs. The operation involved ground and aerial resources in the effort to locate the missing woman.

A 33-year-old Spanish forest firefighter, Guillermo Carballo, was attacked by a swarm of common wasps on a farm in Quinzanas, Asturias, after already being stung twice by Asian hornets (velutina). The man ended up with a total of 27 stings all over his body and had to be admitted to the ICU at Hospital San Agustín in Avilés, where he is still recovering. His own account describes suddenly being surrounded by a cloud of wasps that attacked him in seconds.
