The Tax Authority carried out an inspection operation in beach concessions spread across various districts of the country. Tax inspectors visited beaches in the districts of Aveiro, Beja, Coimbra, Faro, Leiria, Lisbon, Porto, Setúbal and Viana do Castelo.
During the action, problems related to invoice issuance were identified. Tax authorities found irregularities in the financial documentation of the concessionaires.
The operation covered a vast Portuguese coastal territory, encompassing beaches on the mainland as well as autonomous regions, although the mentioned districts are concentrated on the mainland territory.
