Banks granted more than 2.3 million euros in July for housing credit

Portuguese banks granted more than 2.3 million euros in housing credit in July. This value represents the highest amount ever recorded for this type of credit.

The financing was directed towards house purchases, indicating strong demand in the real estate sector during that period.

The value achieved in July surpasses all previous records, marking a new all-time high in housing credit granted by the Portuguese banking system.

Portuguese João Brígido appointed to lead Philip Morris International's largest factory in the world

João Brígido, until now director of the Tabaqueira factory in Portugal, was appointed to lead Philip Morris International's industrial unit in Crespellano, Bologna, Italy, considered the largest factory of the group worldwide. A graduate in Electrical Engineering from ESTS, Brígido began his career at PMI in Portugal in 1999 and, over more than two decades, held Operations management positions in South Korea, Brazil and the Philippines, also having led the factory in Otopeni, Romania. The Crespellano unit, inaugurated in 2016, was the first of the group dedicated to large-scale production of heated tobacco products and hosts PMI's largest Industrial Center of Excellence. Brígido states he carries with him the experience of a highly competitive operation focused on rigor and people.
