Mota-Engil Ambiente e Energia will have five biomethane units operational by the end of the year

Mota-Engil Ambiente e Energia will have five biomethane units operational by the end of the year, representing an investment of 25 million euros in the construction of these first units. The financing will be provided by Crédito Agrícola.

The units will be installed in five locations: Coimbra, Aveiro, Leiria, Seixal and Amadora. Together, they will have capacity to produce up to 170 GWh of biomethane per year.

The group is already preparing a second wave of investment in this area, indicating that it intends to expand its presence in the biomethane sector beyond these first five units.
