The bishop of the Diocese of Bragança-Miranda, D. Nuno Almeida, published today the pastoral appointments for various parishes and diocesan services, inviting priests and deacons to create an "individual training plan". In the document published on the diocese's website, D. Nuno Almeida expressed "joy, gratitude and hope" for the thousands of people who celebrate and witness their faith, including priests, deacons, laity who collaborate in social works and pastoral services, and members of religious congregations.
The bishop challenged all priests and deacons to design an individual training plan, especially inviting permanent deacons to take advantage of the Diocesan Institute for Pastoral Studies for ongoing formation. D. Nuno Almeida stated that he desires a Church that welcomes the cries of humanity, illuminated by Christ, missionary and walking with the Lord along the paths of the world.
The appointments released also include information about the priests and laity of the diocese who are in formation. According to the document, there are 12 people in formation in various themes, such as Church History, Sacred Scripture, Canon Law, Religious Sciences, General Studies, Palliative Care, New Technologies in Service of Education and Training, and Public Management and Digital Marketing.
The bishop of Bragança-Miranda also announced new leaders for some parishes of the diocese, as well as the diocesan services of Liturgy and Spirituality, Vocations Pastoral and Mission and New Evangelization.
