Meteorologist Alfredo Graça revealed the updated forecasts for autumn 2026 in Portugal, indicating that depressions and cold drops may reach the country in the coming months. Meteored's reference model has just updated the climate trends for autumn, which begins this Tuesday, September 1st.
The first indications suggest a quite dynamic autumn in Portugal, with frequent periods of frontal rain and showers accompanied by thunderstorms. The climatological autumn covers the months of September, October, and November.
This forecast comes after a relatively mild summer in Portugal, which contrasted with several other countries in Western and Southern Europe, such as Spain and France. The Portuguese territory only recorded an intense and prolonged heat wave between late June and early July.
