CPCJ de Portimão debates challenges of parenthood and impact of the digital world

The Commission for the Protection of Children and Youth (CPCJ) of Portimão will promote on September 18 a seminar dedicated to the challenges of parenting and the influence of the digital world on family life. The event, titled "Between Caring and Failing: Challenges of Parenting and the Digital World", will take place between 09:30 and 13:00, at the Auditorium of Portimão Arena.

The seminar program consists of two panels. The first, titled "Challenging Parenting VS Parenting that Challenges Us", will be led by Fátima Nunes, clinical and health psychologist and executive director of the Instituto do Desenvolvimento. The second panel, "Digital World: advantages and disadvantages for positive parenting", will be presented by Magda Lopes, a Justice psychologist from the same institute.

The opening session will feature the presence of Álvaro Bila, president of the Portimão Municipal Council, Ana Valente, president of the National Commission for the Promotion of Rights and Protection of Children and Youth, and Carla Barão, president of the CPCJ of Portimão. The moderation of the panels will be handled by Maria João Freitas, from the Regional Technical Team of the National Commission, and Nuno Encarnação, representative of residential institutions on the CPCJ of Portimão.

Participation in the seminar is free, but is subject to prior registration and venue capacity. The initiative is part of the work of CPCJ de Portimão in promoting the rights and protection of children and youth, seeking to raise community awareness on issues related to the well-being and development of young people.
