The Presidents of Russia and China, Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping, met in Kyrgyzstan. The meeting reinforced the alliance between the two countries, demonstrating the closeness of diplomatic relations between Moscow and Beijing.

After the meeting, Putin stated that he intends to make the visa-free regime between Russia and China permanent. This declaration comes as a result of the positive experience that the temporary visa-free regime provided.

According to Putin, the visa exemption had a positive impact on tourism between the two countries. The measure facilitated the movement of Russian and Chinese citizens, contributing to the increase in bilateral tourist flow.

The two leaders also prepared for future meetings within the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), where they are expected to continue discussing mutual cooperation issues and strengthen ties between the two nations.
