European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen stated that the "Bazuca" mechanism enabled "great progress" that will benefit future generations. These statements come on the day the implementation of the Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF) concludes.
The European Commission highlighted the support that the RRFs provided for post-pandemic economic activity recovery, also contributing to the acceleration of investment in member states.
Von der Leyen also mentioned that these funds enabled the maintenance of unemployment at historically low levels in several European countries.
The European Commission President classified this solution as "bold, united and forward-looking," underscoring the importance of the European Union's joint response to the pandemic crisis.
