Unemployment rate in July drops to 5.7%

The unemployment rate stood at 5.7% in July, remaining the same as the value recorded in June. This data represents a decrease of 0.1 percentage points compared to the same month last year.

The provisional data was released today by the National Statistics Institute (INE), responsible for the compilation and publication of official statistics on the labor market in Portugal.

Thus, unemployment remains stable on a monthly basis, but shows a positive evolution in comparison with the same period last year, when the rate was higher.

The INE continues to regularly collect and publish these indicators, allowing for the monitoring of the evolution of the Portuguese labor market over time.
