The Dutch TTF natural gas reference price rose on Monday above 70 euros per megawatt-hour, reaching the highest since January 2023.
This increase in energy prices in Europe is related to the new fighting between the United States and Iran, which have raised oil prices.
Geopolitical tension in the Middle East also increases the risk of delays in liquefied natural gas (LNG) exports from the Persian Gulf.
The context for this increase comes after a period of lower prices, representing a significant reversal in the European energy market.
