The Clube de Golfe de Viana do Castelo held on August 28th the sixth edition of the Tournament Friends of Golf and Good Food – Monte da Madalena Restaurant "Cabritinho", at the Áxis Golfe Ponte de Lima course. The competition had the participation of 69 players, on a day marked by fellowship and sporting practice, despite some rain at the beginning of the tournament.
In the Gross classification, Rui Martins, with handicap 4 and playing handicap 2, was the best player on the course by scoring 33 Gross points. In the Net classification, Manuel Faria won with 39 points, followed by Orlando Silva with 38 points. The "unlucky" prize was awarded to Carlos Alberto Gonçalves with 17 points.
The tournament ended with a fellowship lunch offered by Monte da Madalena Restaurant, including the traditional cabritinho that gives the initiative its name, followed by the award ceremony for the winners. The organization highlighted the contribution of players, members, sponsors, and teams from Áxis Golfe Ponte de Lima and Monte da Madalena for the success of the initiative.
The CGVC is already pointing to 2027, the year in which the 7th edition of the Tournament Friends of Golf and Good Food – Monte da Madalena Restaurant "Cabritinho" is scheduled to take place. The article was published by Semanário Alto Minho.
