The Parliament approved an extension of the deadline for the Government to present the report on the creation of the municipality of Fátima, giving two more months for the delivery of the document. The decision comes after the executive requested more time to analyze the proposal.
The bill aiming at the creation of the new municipality was presented by three parties: Bloco de Esquerda, PAN and Juntos pelo Povo. The main objective is for the locality of Fátima to become independent from the municipality of Ourém, of which it currently forms part.
