An air mass from North Africa is expected to cause air quality degradation this Monday and Tuesday. This meteorological phenomenon carries dust particles that affect air quality in Portugal.
The Directorate-General for Health issued recommendations for the population during this period. The DGS advises avoiding prolonged exertion and limiting outdoor physical activity.
Groups considered more vulnerable should increase their precautions. Children, elderly people, and people with respiratory or cardiovascular problems are the main risk groups affected by this air quality degradation.
