The Russian President, Vladimir Putin, and the Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, met to discuss geopolitical issues of great international relevance. During the meeting, the two leaders addressed the armed conflicts currently affecting the Middle East and Ukraine.
The conversation between the two leaders focused particularly on the repercussions of these conflicts on international maritime trade. Both leaders expressed concern about the risks that regional instability represents for maritime trade routes and, specifically, for the safety of Indian sailors sailing in these waters.
