The Criminal Investigation Unit of Arcos de Valdevez, of the GNR, detained last Wednesday, September 9, a 37-year-old man for drug trafficking in the municipality of Ponte de Lima. The detention resulted from an investigation that had been ongoing for approximately one month.
The military personnel of the Territorial Command of Viana do Castelo executed four search warrants, one residential and three in vehicles. During the police operation, the authorities seized 257 doses of marijuana, two air pressure rifles and 22 bags intended for vacuum-sealing drugs.
The suspect was made a defendant and the case was referred to the Judicial Court of Ponte de Lima, where the respective precautionary measures will be applied.
