Sidewalks occupied by cars in Ribeira Brava

dnoticias.pt11 September 2026 at 15:58

The sidewalks of Rua 1.º de Dezembro, in the town of Ribeira Brava, are being occupied in an irregular and abusive manner by vehicles, according to reports on social media. The situation has been the subject of criticism and outrage by locals who use this city thoroughfare.

The complaint was made by Francelino Almeida, through a post on Facebook, where he questions the conditions of that street. In his post, Almeida reports that the irregular and abusive parking on the sidewalks of that street occurs daily.

Faced with this situation, flower pots were placed along Rua 1.º de Dezembro, in an attempt to separate the sidewalks from the roadway and prevent improper parking. However, the measure has not been sufficient to resolve the problem, which persists.
