More than 1,700 students returned to classes today in the municipality of Nazaré, marking the start of the new school year in the district of Leiria. The start of classes took place without incidents, with students resuming school attendance after the vacation period.
Before the students' return, teachers had already been welcomed this week with activities specially planned for the occasion. The reception for the teaching staff included visits to the new facilities of the Dr. Joaquim Manso Museum, which is one of the cultural references of the region.
The Dr. Joaquim Manso Museum, which was mentioned as part of the new facilities made available to teachers, represents a municipal investment in the cultural and educational area. The visits allowed teachers to see the renovated or recently inaugurated spaces.
The return to classes marks the end of the summer holidays and the beginning of a new school cycle for the school community of the municipality of Nazaré, which includes schools at different educational levels to accommodate the universe of more than 1,700 students.
