The Municipality of Valença promotes, on September 23rd, at 2:30 PM, at Quinta Edmun do Val, the initiative "Valença Vindimas – Memories that are harvested, flavors that remain!", aimed at users of the private social solidarity institutions (IPSS) of the municipality.
The program includes a conversation about the grape harvests, a commented tasting of regional products, a photographic session, tales and legends of the vineyard, the workshop "From vine to glass", traditional music and moments of sharing around local flavors and customs. The afternoon ends with "September Flavors", a traditional snack with seasonal products.
The initiative aims to mark the grape harvest season as an expression of local identity and traditions. According to the Municipality, the goal is to preserve and transmit memories and knowledge associated with the culture of the vineyard and wine, simultaneously promoting active aging, social participation and socializing among the seniors of the municipality.
