Trial begins behind closed doors of PSP officers accused of torture at Rato police station

Two PSP officers began standing trial this morning on charges of torture and rape at the Rato police station in Lisbon. The officers, aged 23 and 26, were the first to be arrested in an investigation that continued with 15 more detentions. The trial is taking place behind closed doors due to the sensitivity of the victims' accounts.
