The Union of Pre-Hospital Emergency Technicians called off the strike that was scheduled for September 14 and 28. The decision was made after a meeting with the Ministry of Health and the National Medical Emergency Institute (INEM).
The encounter between the parties lasted about four hours and ended with an agreement, which has not yet been made public. The announcement was made by the union president, Rui Lázaro.
With the call-off, the effects of the strike that would have affected pre-hospital emergency services in Portugal during September are suspended.
