The Municipality of Caminha was distinguished by the National Federation of Youth Associations (FNAJ) with the "Youth Friendly Municipality" Seal, in the 4 Stars category. This distinction, valid until June 2028, recognizes the work developed by the municipality in implementing structured youth policies centered on the needs of young people.
The evaluation was promoted by the National Network of Youth Friendly Municipalities, of FNAJ, and values the measures and projects developed in the areas of civic participation, education, inclusion, training, and creation of opportunities for new generations. Among the initiatives that contributed to this distinction is the Young Summer program, implemented for the first time this year, which provided new experiences of participation and engagement to the young people of the council.
The seal aims to distinguish municipalities that present consistent youth policies and aligned with the needs and aspirations of new generations, recognizing good practices developed at the local level. For the Municipality of Caminha, the recognition constitutes an incentive to continue investing in measures aimed at the personal, academic, professional, and social development of young people.
