The National Association of Energy Retailers, Fuels and Service Stations (ANAREC) accused the Government of "lying" to the Portuguese and demanded more inspection. The association's representative made these statements to journalists at a fuel station in Lanhelas, in the municipality of Caminha.
According to ANAREC, the executive must lower the tax burden on fuels. The association argues that companies in the sector are facing an "excessive loss of competitiveness" when compared to the Spanish market.
