ANAREC accused the Government of lying and requested inspection regarding fiscal policy on fuels. The association considers that authorities are not being truthful about the situation.
The president of ANAREC asked to lower the tax burden on fuels. The request arises due to the loss of competitiveness that Portugal faces in relation to Spain, which the company describes as "exaggerated."
According to data presented by ANAREC, differences in fuel prices between Portugal and Spain can vary between 30 to 40 cents per liter. This disparity places Portugal at a significant competitive disadvantage compared to the neighboring country.
