The University of Évora will hold on September 14, at 3:00 PM, a public ceremony to honor the Patrons 2025/26, in the Faculty Room of the Espírito Santo College. The ceremony, promoted by the University's Rectory, aims to recognize the contribution of public and private entities to the development of the university and, in particular, to support for students.
During the session, Rector António Candeias will speak, as will Juvenile Soares on behalf of the students benefiting from FASE-U Évora, Beatriz Calado, President of the Academic Association of U Évora, and António Serrano, representative of Jerónimo Martins SGPS, SA and the FASE-U Évora Patrons.
The program includes the presentation of a solidarity cheque to the Social Services of the University of Évora and the awarding of Distinctions to the Patrons, a moment of recognition for the support provided. The ceremony concludes with a musical performance by students from the Music Department of the University's School of Arts.
FASE-U Évora, created in 2012 and managed by the Social Services, supported 16 patrons in the academic year 2025/26, with a total contribution of approximately 177 thousand euros. The university highlights the role of patronage as an instrument of solidarity that makes it possible to reinforce the conditions for students' permanence and success in higher education.
