Messages from Daniel Vorcaro obtained by the Federal Police reveal a series of episodes in which the owner of Banco Master used the group "The Gang," formed by police officers, to act against people he considered adversaries. In the dialogues, Vorcaro and Luiz Phillipi Machado de Moraes Mourão, nicknamed "Assassin," discussed adopting "more drastic measures," spoke of giving a "shake-up" to targets, and evaluated whether one of the targets should receive "just a scare or another action."
The existence of "The Gang" was revealed in March, when the Federal Police stated that the group was used for surveillance, information gathering, and intimidation of people who opposed Vorcaro's interests. An investigative report with the analysis of messages extracted from the banker's phone brings details of different actions discussed by the investigated individuals.
According to the Federal Police, the group was formed by six members and was led by retired federal police officer Marilson Roseno da Silva. The investigators state that the structure gathered information about people and carried out intimidation actions according to Vorcaro's demands.
