Former mayor of the capital Eduardo Paes (PSD) closes this Friday the series of interviews promoted by the newspapers O GLOBO, Extra and Valor, in partnership with CBN Radio, with candidates for governor of Rio de Janeiro. The interview starts at 10:30 AM and will be broadcast live on the radio, on the newspapers' websites and on the YouTube channel.

The series began this Tuesday with state deputy Douglas Ruas (PL), followed by William Siri (PSOL) on Wednesday and Anthony Garotinho on Thursday. Each interview lasts an hour and a half and is conducted in the GLOBO newsroom studio.

The interviews are conducted by CBN Rio presenters Bianca Santos and Leandro Resende, by the political editor of O GLOBO and Extra newspapers, Thiago Prado, by columnist Bernardo Mello Franco and by the head of the newsroom Francisco Góes.

The article mentions criticism of Ruas and the left that supports Paes, as well as analyses of Douglas Ruas's interview, who allegedly hid allies during the interview, described as a classic behavior of Rio politics.

Algarve ULS denies having prohibited workers from attending Medicine

The Local Health Unit (ULS) of the Algarve clarified that it never prohibited its workers from attending the Medicine course at the University of Algarve, after the Socialist Party (PS) questioned the Minister of Health about alleged restrictions on employment contracts. The ULS explained that the statements by its president, Tiago Botelho, were "improperly interpreted and taken out of context," noting that it did not adopt any deliberation to that effect. The institution clarified that attending a higher education course is not considered a situation of function accumulation and that it complies with the legal provisions for worker-students, although it considers that the demands of the medical course are "hardly compatible" with the simultaneous exercise of regular professional activity.

PF reports indicate that Vorcaro funded expenses for former BC executives investigated in Master Case

Federal Police reports reveal that former banker Daniel Vorcaro funded international travel expenses for two former Central Bank executives investigated in the Master Case. According to investigators, Vorcaro organized receptions at luxury restaurants in Paris for former Banking Supervision Chief Belline Santana and paid for a Disney itinerary for former Inspection Director Paulo Sérgio Neves de Souza and his family. The PF identified receipts for transfers of 3.8 million reais to Belline in exchange for institutional favoritism, and found that both public servants exceeded their legal duties by previously reviewing draft documents, sharing confidential information, and participating in unofficial meetings to benefit the financial institution.

Daniel Vorcaro knew about operation against him in advance, case documents reveal

Documents released by Minister André Mendonça reveal that banker Daniel Vorcaro had advance knowledge of Operation Compliance Zero, reinforcing the thesis that he tried to flee the country to avoid arrest. Federal Police reports show that Vorcaro monitored federal agents and probed proximity to the judge handling the case, urgently arranging the hiring of a jet at Guarulhos bound for the United Arab Emirates after being warned about the imminent operation. The secrecy of the investigation at the STF was lifted at the request of Court President Edson Fachin, and digital copies were shared with all the court's ministers.
