Federal Police reports indicate that former banker Daniel Vorcaro funded international travel expenses for two former Central Bank executives investigated in the Master Case. According to investigators, Vorcaro organized receptions and reservations at high-end restaurants in Paris for former Banking Supervision Chief Belline Santana, in addition to paying for a Disney itinerary for former Inspection Director Paulo Sérgio Neves de Souza and his family.
The Federal Police investigation identified receipts for transfers of three million eight hundred thousand reais to Belline in exchange for institutional favoritism by the public servants.
According to the Federal Police, both servants exceeded their legal duties at the Central Bank by previously reviewing draft documents, sharing confidential internal information, and participating in unofficial meetings to align the financial institution's strategies.
In a message dated December 21, 2023, Paulo Sérgio "takes the liberty" of suggesting points to be addressed, evidence of the informal communication between the investigated individuals and the former banker.
