Concerts by Orquestra Jovem Sesc Brasil celebrate Sesc's 80 years of service and excellence

The Orquestra Jovem Sesc Brasil will hold two special concerts to celebrate Sesc's 80th anniversary. On September 11th, the group performs at the Sesc Educational Center in Rio de Janeiro with a live YouTube broadcast, and on September 13th, the anniversary date, there will be an open-to-the-public presentation in Petrópolis. Under conductor maestro Geovane Marquetti, the repertoire includes the original composition "Trama das Águas Dançantes" (Weaving of the Dancing Waters), created for the celebration, in addition to the classic "Mambo No. 5," a medley by Alceu Valença, and music from the soundtrack of "O Auto da Compadecida." The orchestra is made up of 59 young musicians from Sesc music projects in 11 states, promoting inclusion and artistic development.
