"Club Kid" was one of the sensations of Cannes Film Festival 2026, where it was screened in the Un Certain Regard section and one of the biggest critical successes of the French event. The film generated a fierce studio battle for distribution, which was won by A24 in a $17 million deal.

The film will be the international closing attraction of Festival do Rio, between October 1 and 11, with a screening scheduled for the 10th at Cine Odeon, at Cinelândia, in Downtown Rio. The work will mark the Brazilian premiere of the feature.

Written, directed, and starring Jordan Firstman, the feature follows Peter (Firstman), a queer party promoter from New York's nightlife whose daily life is turned upside down when something unexpected happens in his routine.
