Municipal Assembly of Coimbra approves unanimously elevation of Eiras to town status

The Coimbra Municipal Assembly today unanimously approved the deliberation requesting the elevation of the settlement of Eiras to the category of Vila. The proposal was presented by Luís Correia, president of the Union of Parishes of Eiras and São Paulo de Frades, and received the favorable vote of all political groups present at the session.
