The Federal Police carried out a search and seizure warrant at the residence of federal deputy Mário Frias (PL-SP), in Brasília, on Thursday (10). According to the parliamentarian himself, a cell phone, documents, a computer, and seven weapons were seized during the operation.
In a video posted on social media, Frias stated that the investigation involves a parliamentary amendment of R$ 2 million destined for two projects: one sports-related and another for digital literacy. According to him, the funds were not destined for the Dark Horse film, which tells the story of former president Jair Bolsonaro.
The deputy declared that the amendment is public, registered, and can be consulted on the Transparency Portal. Frias stated that the intention of the projects was to take children off the streets and teach children, youth, and adolescents to develop intellectually.
The deputy also informed that his defense would try to clarify the facts to the competent authorities.
