The Twin Towers Return to New York's Skyline on the 25th Anniversary of the Attack

El Periódico Mediterráneo - General10 September 2026 at 19:27

The Twin Towers returned to New York's horizon on the 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks, through a show with almost 3,000 drones that redrew the silhouette of the World Trade Center in real scale. The show used 2,977 drones, representing each person who lost their life in the September 11, 2001 attacks. The drones rose above the city's sky to return the image of the Twin Towers to the skyline. The show offered a moment of reflection and unity to commemorate the twenty-fifth anniversary of the attacks, which was commemorated on Friday.

Do you see this sign on the road? There are cases where parking in these zones can result in fines

The "Kiss and Go" or "Kiss & Ride" zones, like the "Beijinho e Siga" initiative implemented by the Municipality of Sesimbra, are intended for quick stops to pick up or drop off passengers, especially near schools. Although the inscription on these signs does not constitute, by itself, an autonomous infraction under the Road Code, parking in these zones can result in fines when specific rules are violated, such as double parking (30 to 150 euros), exceeding time limits, or blocking access to properties (60 to 300 euros). The distinction between stopping and parking is fundamental: remaining inside the vehicle while waiting does not automatically constitute legal stopping, as the classification depends on the specific conditions of the location and the existing signage.
