Vice-Admiral Diogo Arroteia, director-general of the Maritime Authority (DGAM) and commander-general of the Maritime Police (CGPM), carried out between September 2 and 9 his first official visit to the Maritime National Authority (AMN) bodies based in the Azores. This visit marks the beginning of a series of visits by the new official to the different poles of the institution.
During the visit, Arroteia participated in several meetings with the local AMN responsible officials in the Azores. The meetings addressed topics related to the Maritime Authority's support in the preparation of documents and strategies, as well as operational issues relevant to the autonomous region.
