Government of SP sets up crisis cabinet for storm risk until Saturday

São Paulo State's Civil Defense issued a meteorological risk alert between Friday (11th) and Saturday (12th), forecasting the formation of storms in several regions of the State. The cause is an extratropical cyclone that will form in the Southern region of Brazil, influencing weather conditions throughout the state of São Paulo.

The state government announced the creation of an in-person Crisis Cabinet, which will begin operating from Friday afternoon. The committee will be installed at the Emergency Management Center (CGE) and will remain active until Saturday afternoon.

The cabinet's objective will be to integrate information, monitor the evolution of the meteorological scenario, and expedite decision-making and resource mobilization in case of occurrences. Representatives from the Fire Department, Military Police, SP Águas, regulatory agencies for transportation and public services, Roads Department, and concessionaires of electricity, water, gas, and telephone services will participate in the committee.

The periods of greatest risk are Friday afternoon and evening, as well as Saturday's early morning and morning.
