"They are values that took root in Europe," says Jaime Nogueira Pinto about his latest book

Now9 September 2026 at 23:02

Jaime Nogueira Pinto was present at the "Summer Conversation" this Wednesday, in a conversation with Germano Almeida, where he talked about his latest book. During the interview, the author stated that the work addresses "values that took root in Europe," suggesting that the central themes of the publication have origins in the European context.

The book has, according to Jaime Nogueira Pinto, "a funny story," which emerged from the confrontation between Brussels' progressive orientations and the policies of the former Polish executive. This tension between the European Union and Poland seems to have inspired the creation of the work.

The interview was conducted on the "Summer Conversation" program, where Germano Almeida led the dialogue with the guest, allowing Pinto to explain the themes and genesis of the publication to the audience.

Anadia: 'Rob's Angels' present "From Poetry to Song"

The cultural cycle "Às Sextas na Praça" 2026 continues this Friday, in Anadia, with the musical show "From Poetry to Song", presented by the group 'Rob's Angels', made up of former and current students of the Music School of Club de Ancas. The show celebrates the word as the origin of Portuguese music, creating a dialogue between written and sung poetry, spanning centuries of literary creation — from Camões to Fernando Pessoa, through Sérgio Godinho, Jorge Palma and other great lyricists — and musicians such as Cristina Branco, Zeca Afonso, Dulce Pontes and Xutos e Pontapés. Through music, recitation, videos and narrative moments, the audience is led through universal themes such as love, longing and freedom, on a sensitive journey through the Portuguese language where spoken and sung words intertwine.
