NotíciasdeAveiro.pt10 September 2026 at 00:08

The Night Solidarity Walk of Oliveira do Bairro takes place on September 19th, marking the return of this initiative which reaches its 10th edition. The main event consists of a walk of approximately 5 kilometers, starting at 20h00 near the Municipal Library of Oliveira do Bairro.

The main objective of the walk is to raise funds for the Humanitarian Association of Volunteer Firefighters of Oliveira do Bairro, intended for the acquisition of operational equipment. Participation requires a minimum donation of five "neons", with the amount going entirely to the firefighters.

Participants receive an exclusive event t-shirt, a backpack, and various neon accessories, and can also come dressed in original clothing, accessories, or face paint. Along the route, three "electric trio" trucks, each with a DJ and entertainer, set the pace with music to liven up the walk.

The initiative is part of the Mix&Move Oliveira do Bairro program, running from September 18th to 20th under the European Mobility Week, this year under the theme "Mobility for All – Justice Between Generations". Registrations can be made through social media and the municipality's official website.
