The cultural cycle "Às Sextas na Praça" 2026 continues this Friday, September 11, at the Praça da Juventude, with the performance of the musical group "Rob's Angels", presenting the show "From Poetry to Song". The initiative is organized by the Municipality of Anadia.

The show celebrates the word as the origin and destination of Portuguese music, proposing a dialogue between written poetry and sung poetry. The performance spans centuries of literary creation, going through classic authors such as Luís de Camões and Fernando Pessoa, to contemporary lyricists such as Sérgio Godinho, Jorge Palma, Carlos Tê, Miguel Esteves Cardoso and Ary dos Santos.

The audience is led through universal themes such as love, longing, freedom and the human condition, through music, recitation, videos and narrative moments. The show includes references to musicians and groups such as Cristina Branco, Zeca Afonso, Dulce Pontes, José Cid, Heróis do Mar, Jafu'Mega and Xutos e Pontapés, showing how verses gain new life when they meet melody.

The "Rob's Angels" are a group made up of former and current students and collaborators of the Music School of Club de Ancas (IPSS), created as a tribute to José Roberto Silva, a musician and teacher who passed away in 2013, who was a member of the board of this club and founder of the school and the recording studio.
