Cattle farmers consider 20-day deadline for wolf attack compensation insufficient

The Union of Livestock Farmers Harmed by Wolves (UPGALL) today considered "positive", but "insufficient", the Government's decision to set a 20 working day deadline for the payment of compensation for wolf attacks. The organization claims that this measure does not solve the fundamental problem of rejected applications. The statement was released following a protest organized by UPGALL, which brings together farmers affected by wolf attacks in Portugal. The association hopes that the Portuguese Executive will move forward with more comprehensive measures to support farmers affected by these attacks.
