Baião marks World Pregnant Women's Day and prepares the "First Steps" of a new life

On September 9th, the Municipality of Baião celebrated World Pregnant Women's Day. This date is celebrated on the ninth day of the ninth month of the year, as a symbolic reference to the nine months of gestation.

The Baião city council uses this occasion to not only celebrate pregnancy, but also to recognize families who are expecting a new life.

The municipality is also preparing the "Primeiros Passos" program, which aims to accompany and support будущих матерей and families during this important phase.

This initiative is part of the set of actions to support parenting and family developed by the Municipality of Baião.

One in five students has already made online bets, survey shows

A survey by the Mixed Parliamentary Front for Education revealed that 20.4% of students in the final years of elementary and high school have already made online bets, reaching almost half (49.7%) in the 3rd year of high school. Sintra marks European Mobility Week with initiatives for everyone

The Municipality of Sintra will celebrate European Mobility Week 2026 between September 16 and 22, under the European theme "Mobility for all – Justice between generations" and the slogan "Sintrenses in Motion". The program includes activities such as the launch at Casa da Cultura Lívio de Morais, an Intergenerational Walking Tour, the "Kidical Mass Sintra" (a bike ride from Vila Palace to Ouressa Municipal Park) and a "School Bike Bus" at the Ferreira de Castro School Grouping, on European Car-Free Day. The initiatives, which run until October 11, also include experiences with bicycles, Ecokart's EcoVoltas, the "Maximum Sustainable Mobility Games" and trishaw rides from Pedalar Sem Idade, aimed at students with special educational needs and elderly people, aiming to promote active, safe and intergenerational mobility.

2026 National Teacher Exam: registration confirmation card is available online

Inep released the registration confirmation card for the 2026 National Teacher Exam (PND) on this Wednesday (9), previously scheduled for August 31. Candidates can check the location and time of the exam, scheduled for September 20, online. The PND is an annual exam by MEC, known as the "Teacher's ENEM," which facilitates the hiring of teachers in public school systems, allowing results to be used in a classificatory, eliminatory, or complementary manner to practical tests in selection processes and competitions. The exam is not mandatory for teachers.
