extra9 September 2026 at 16:36

Candidates for the 2026 National Teacher Exam (PND) can now access the registration confirmation card online, which shows the exam location. The document was released by the National Institute of Educational Studies and Research Anísio Teixeira (Inep) on Wednesday, the 9th. The exam is scheduled for September 20. The card also shows the registration number and the test application time. The originally planned date for publishing the document was August 31.

The PND is an annual exam by the Ministry of Education (MEC) created to facilitate the hiring of teachers. The exam is popularly known as the "Teacher's ENEM." Public school systems can use the results of the exam in selection processes and teacher competitions, either in a classificatory, eliminatory, or complementary manner to practical tests.

Participation in the National Teacher Exam is not mandatory for teachers. Inep reported that it prepared the Participant Guide with the aim of orienting candidates about the important deadlines related to the exam.

Local Support Centre for Migrant Integration "born" at the University of Évora

The University of Évora inaugurated a Local Support Centre for Migrant Integration (CLAIM), the result of a protocol with AIMA, designed to support the growing international academic community of the institution — approximately 650 international students, mostly from outside the EU, as well as faculty and researchers from dozens of nationalities. Rector António Candeias argued that the centre addresses a growing need in a multicultural university and could evolve to provide broader support for the city and region, in coordination with the local council and institutions. AIMA's president, Pedro Portugal Gaspar, highlighted CLAIM's role in documentary regularization and the attraction of academic talent, also noting Portugal's potential to benefit from the mobility of professors and researchers from countries with university instability.
