The president of the Funchal City Hall, Jorge Carvalho, received in audience the ambassador of the United States of America in Portugal, John Joseph Arrigo, who is on an official visit to the Autonomous Region of Madeira.
John Joseph Arrigo was appointed by President Donald Trump and was sworn in on September 9th of last year. This visit to Madeira marks the first time the ambassador has visited the region since assuming the position.
During his stay in the region, the ambassador held various institutional meetings, including the audience with the president of the Funchal City Hall. The visit aims to better understand the reality of the autonomous region.
